Aviary.

Meet Robyn — Aviary’s new AI mixologist. We’re documenting the full rollout: proof links, operator notes, and launch build-up.

“Perfect in every way.”

Launching Jan 2026
Uplift published after launch weekend + verification

“We were approached to solve a problem a lot of customers face… cocktails are like art, but menus often don’t explain what they’ll taste like — so guests pick something safe.”

Meet the Owner

Operator-first rollout
We didn’t “drop software and hope”. We worked together in real-time: email → calls → WhatsApp tests → stock dialled-in → launch date booked → checklist run → build-up content.

Real message during rollout:
“Max — you are a star, an inspiration… take it as respect.”

The Problem:

WHAT AVIARY SAID OUT LOUD
Indecision + “safe picks” cost cocktail sales
Cocktail menus often show names and ingredients — but not what it tastes like. Guests freeze, default to beer/wine, or choose a drink they don’t actually enjoy. In a busy venue, that’s lost cocktail share and fewer second rounds.
Menu freeze
Slow decisions
More “umm…” less ordering flow.
Safe defaults
Lower cocktail share
Beer/wine wins by default.
Missed hits
Fewer repeat rounds
If the first drink misses, the night caps early.

The Turning Point:

HOW THIS HAPPENED
We tested together until it felt “golden”
We reached out, spoke through the concept, and then ran live tests with the team. We tightened the stock list, fixed duplicates (cordial vs liqueur edge cases), and iterated based on feedback. Once the output was consistent, we lined up the launch date and ran the checklist.
LAUNCH MOMENTUM
Posts, UGC, and physical prompts
The venue posted “Meet Robyn” and captured video/photos for launch. In-bar prompts (table tents / QR) make scanning feel normal, not “techy”.

How it works in Aviary

1
Scan
Guests scan the QR at the table/bar.
2
Match
9 quick questions → taste profile → bespoke recipe.
3
Make
Recipe lands behind the bar — staff craft it by hand.
NO MACHINE COCKTAILS
AI thinks. Humans craft.
Robyn does the thinking and matching. Aviary’s team does the shaking, garnish and service. It’s still a premium cocktail experience — just faster decisions and better first-drink hits.
STAFF PROMPT
One sentence that converts
“If you’re unsure, scan this — it’ll match you to a cocktail you’ll love. It comes straight to us behind the bar, and we’ll make it for you.”
Optional upsell: “Want it stronger / sweeter / more tropical? Tell me after you scan.”

The Results:

EARLY SIGNALS
People try drinks they wouldn’t pick off a menu — and love them
Three real reactions from early tests:
  • “Perfect in every way.” (literally said “this is me in drink form”)
  • “Didn’t like the sound… but loved it when handed the drink.”
  • “Wouldn’t have chosen it off a menu… but really enjoyed it.”
WHAT WE’LL PUBLISH
Launch weekend uplift vs baseline
We publish uplift only after the launch weekend completes and figures are verified. Until then, this page stays as rollout documentation + third-party proof.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Discovery without slowing service
Guests stop panic-picking. Staff stop “reading the menu at customers.” Decision friction drops — cocktail share goes up — and repeat rounds follow.
