I’m Max — founder of Custom Cocktails. I worked behind the bar at Cosmopolitan (Chorley) for 3 years. Every single week I watched customers freeze at the menu, panic-pick something “safe”… or walk away from cocktails entirely.
One day my boss said something that stuck:
“We need a way to get more people in, keep them longer, and get them spending more while they’re here.”
That was my lightbulb moment.
I built a rough prototype and tested it in the bar. On a slow Friday (mid-month, raining, no DJs, no occasion), we sold 30 custom cocktails in one night — roughly +30% — adding ~£300 to a night that normally would’ve been dead.
Then I asked the obvious question: If it works here… does it work anywhere?
Three years of building, testing and refining later — it does.
