Custom Cocktails Flagship Bar, Cosmopolitan is located in our home town in Chorley, Lancashire. Founder Max Greenhalgh spent 3 years working as a Cocktail Bartender and noticed a problem - Cosmo had reputable brand image built over years in which the finest cocktails were created. With an extensive menu, Cosmo housed over 110 individual cocktail recipes, however still ran into the longstanding issue many cocktail bars face - The Choice of One. Chorley, by nature, is not the home of traditional well-versed cocktail drinkers with extensive experience and knowledge of flavour combinations and traditional cocktail recipes. This led to a problem - non-cocktail drinkers were over-faced by choice, inexperienced and unable to accurately pick a cocktail which matched flavours the customer would love. This was a stalemate - not the cocktail drinkers fault (their lack of experience and knowledge is a blank slate waiting to be pointed in the right direction) and not the bars fault (with 110 cocktail on the menu there is plenty of choice). Here in-lies the gap - in a digital age everyone should have the power to find their perfect product. Non-cocktail drinkers were empowered to create their own recipe, using flavours they love in an AI recipe - opening up the world of cocktails to them - creating easy recommendations which align with flavours seen in their recipe. Cosmo was able to retain more customers- with non-cocktail drinkers first experience being a drink they loved, they stayed for more, and more. Bottled beer cop-outs were a thing of the past, a safety net no longer needed. Every single customer who walked through the door was empowered to find their perfect cocktail. New customers came, thick and fast with a huge response to local marketing included now in every Custom Cocktails package, to achieve these results across any bar. When those customers came, they stayed. Cosmo solidified itself as a market leader, driving innovation and creating a new wave of excitement around cocktails. Cosmopolitans revenue increased by over 30% on launching night, with no other factors at play. Custom Cocktails was born.
